Troon adds courses in South Korea and Arizona to its portfolio

Troon has been selected to manage two more golf clubs: Gold Hill Country Club in Seoul, South Korea, and Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Troon International will handle affairs at Gold Hill, managing development and pre-opening services, post-opening agronomy, marketing and operations services. Troon Privé will manage club operations, agronomy, food & beverage and membership marketing at Flagstaff Ranch.

Gold Hill Country Club is a brand-new property located in a former gold mine in Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, about an hour outside of the South Korean capital of Seoul. The name “Gold Hill” was chosen to reflect both the history of the area and symbolize bringing good fortune to customers by offering a blend of natural beauty and sophisticated luxury. It sits at an elevation of 1,150 feet on a basin covering approximately two-thirds of a square mile. In addition to the 18-hole public golf course, Gold Hill will feature a comprehensive medical resort including a general hospital, accommodation facilities for relaxation and tourist/living accommodation facilities.

The golf course will be fully lit by floodlights, allowing golfers to play past sunset. A soft opening will occur in the coming months, with the grand opening taking place at the end of the year.

Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club is a member-owned club that was founded in 2003 and sits at an elevation of 7,238 feet. It features a golf course designed by Jerry Pate that takes advantage of its mountain setting with dramatic elevation changes and views for hundreds of miles. The 7,127-yard, par-72 course is considered one of the state’s top layouts.

The 25,000-square-foot clubhouse includes member/guest dining, a member’s lounge, a private boardroom, banquet/meeting rooms, member’s locker rooms and more. Flagstaff Ranch homeowners enjoy additional amenities including a community center with a fitness center that offers member fitness classes, outdoor grills, tennis and pickleball courts, a basketball court and playgrounds for the kids. The pool facility features a large pool for swimming, a kid’s pool and a spa.
