Audubon International announces sustainability partnership with the Cabot Collection

Audubon International is now the exclusive environmental stewardship partner for The Cabot Collection, whose portfolio consists of Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Cabot Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, the forthcoming Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia, Cabot Citrus Farms in Florida and Cabot Highlands in Scotland.

This partnership sees Cabot become the first multi-property brand to enroll all of its courses into Audubon’s Platinum Signature Sanctuary certification program. It was introduced in 2023 as a comprehensive, all-inclusive program that brings every facet of a property under the same certification umbrella, including golf courses, clubhouse facilities, additional on-site lodging, restaurants and retail shops.

“Cabot is one of the most respected and trendsetting golf destination companies in the world today, and their exclusive partnership with Audubon International gives our Platinum Signature Sanctuary program the stature it deserves as the certification standard for any property that wants to attain, and surpass, its environmental stewardship goals,” said Christine Kane, CEO of Audubon International. “We look forward to working with Cabot’s development, construction, golf course agronomy, and maintenance teams to reach those goals at every venue.”

Cabot has eight golf courses currently open for play, with three more in various stages of development. Two of its courses, Cape Breton’s Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs, are already certified under the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program and will move under the Platinum status. All future courses in Cabot’s portfolio will become Platinum courses as well.
