Six Receive Academic All-District Honors – Vanderbilt University Athletics – Official Athletics Website

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Six student-athletes representing Vanderbilt women’s golf, lacrosse and bowling teams were recognized on Tuesday by College Sports Communicators as Academic All-District women’s at-large team selections.

From golf Celina Sattelkau, Tillie Claggett and Lynn Lim were joined by Brooke Baker and Taylor Sampone of lacrosse and Victoria Varano of bowling, along with other female student-athletes across the country who qualified for the award. Academic All-District honorees must have a GPA above 3.5, along with being a key contributor to each team.

Graduate student Celina Sattelkau earned Academic All-District recognition for a second-straight year. After double-majoring in communication of science & technology and psychology as an undergraduate, Sattelkau earned her master’s in finance. She was named the 2024 Dinah Shore Trophy winner which recognizes the top collegiate female golfer who excels in both academics and athletics. On the course, Sattelkau produced a 72.42 scoring average in 2023-24 and notched a top-10 finish at the NCAA Bryan Regional after shooting a 4-under 68 on the final day.

Sophomore Tillie Claggett earned her first Academic All-District award after playing her way to second team All-SEC recognition this season. The communications major averaged 72.50 on the course this season while collecting four top-10 finishes and a pair of top-five performances. Claggett won the prestigious Patriot Intercollegiate in December 2023 with a course-record, 9-under-par final round.

Sophomore Lynn Lim also picked up her first Academic All-District honor after tallying a 73.25 scoring average this season. A political science major, Lim produced four top-10 finishes including a runner-up performance at the FAU Paradise Invitational. The strong season followed a freshman campaign where Lim was named the 2022-23 SEC Freshman of the Year.

Graduate student Brooke Baker earned Academic All-District for the first time. After starting all 17 games for the lacrosse program, Baker finished with 39 points off 36 goals and three assists. Baker earned a bachelor’s in journalism and media with a concentration in advertising and public relations while in North Carolina before receiving her master’s in human development studies at Vanderbilt.

Taylor Sampone, a senior on the lacrosse team, was also named Academic All-District for the first time. Sampone, named a captain prior to the season, started in all 17 games for the black and…
