DURHAM – For the second straight year, Duke women’s golf recent graduate Phoebe Brinker has been tabbed to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women’s At-Large team.
The CSC recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Brinker will now be considered for CSC Academic All-America, which will be announced July 16.
A native of Wilmington, Del., Brinker closed her collegiate career in May at the NCAA Championship by registering rounds of 69, 73, 74 and 72 over the four days at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa North Course in Carlsbad, Calif., to finish in a tie for 10th and earn her third All-America accolade. She became just the 10th Blue Devil to notch multiple top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championship over their career. It marked her third top-10 placement of the season and team-best sixth top-20 ledger.
Brinker is a three-time Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar, All-ACC Academic Team and ACC Honor Roll selection. She also earned Dean’s List with Distinction in the Spring of 2023 with the Blue Devils and graduated with a degree in English.
