Webb Announces 2024-25 Men’s Golf Schedule

Roughly two months away from the start of the fall season, Tennessee men’s golf head coach Brennan Webb announced the Vols’ 2024-25 schedule Tuesday.

“As PGA TOUR U continues to expand the opportunities available to graduating seniors, it is even more important that we schedule in a way that gives our players the best opportunity to set themselves up for success during and after their time here on Rocky Top,” said Webb. “The schedule this year sets us up to be as prepared as we can be for The SEC and NCAA Championships, as well as give our upper classmen the best opportunity to take advantage of the benefits of PGA TOUR U.”

Tennessee’s schedule consists of nine regular season events. UT is set to take part in four fall tournaments, headlined by the Visit Knoxville Collegiate—which will be in its second year of existence.

In the spring, five regular season tournaments precede April’s SEC Championships, which are set to be contested at Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside Course in St. Simons Island, Georgia, for the 24th consecutive year.

Tennessee is scheduled to play tournaments in six different states and will venture outside the United States mainland twice—once to Puerto Rico and once to Mexico.

The Vols’ fall slate begins nearby at Tennessee National Golf Club with the Visit Knoxville Collegiate. Last season, the Vols took home the team title in the inaugural tournament and had four golfers finish inside the top-20 individually.

Just over two weeks later from Sept. 21-23, the Valero Texas Collegiate takes place at TPC San Antonio. The three-round event will feature some of the finest college golfers in the country as well as some storied golf programs in the NCAA, with the individual winner of the tournament receiving an exemption into the Valero Texas Open.

Following another two-week hiatus, the Big Orange will tee it up at the Fighting Irish Classic in South Bend, Indiana. The Vols earned the team title in last season’s event with two podium finishers individually.

Tennessee’s fourth tournament of the fall comes at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate from Oct. 18-20—marking the fifth time in the last six seasons UT has participated in the event.

For the fourth straight season and fifth time in the past six years, Tennessee tees off its spring slate at the Puerto Rico Classic at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, from Feb. 10-12. In both 2023 and 2024, Evan Woosley-Reed was Tennessee’s highest finisher in the event…
