Four amateurs made the cut this week at the 2024 British Open, more than any other major this year. However, only one took home low amateur honors when the week came to an end.
The final men’s major championship of the year is finished, and Royal Troon in Scotland was an incredible host. Twelve amateurs began the week in the field trying to take on the famed links.
Among those who played all four days were the British Amateur champion and a 6-foot-9 junior at Texas. For those who missed the cut, it included the No. 1 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
From the top of the leaderboard to the bottom, here’s how all 12 amateurs fared this week at the 2024 British Open at Royal Troon.
Calum Scott, from Scotland, is the low amateur. He finished at 8 over for the week. Scott plays his college golf at Texas Tech. He’ll head back to Lubbock with a Silver Medal.
