3M Open 2024 picks to win, PGA Tour predictions, odds

2023 3M Open

Just days after Xander Schauffele hoisted the Claret Jug, the PGA Tour is back in action stateside for the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities. Many of the circuit’s best players are taking the week off, but there are still a few names to keep an eye on in Blaine, Minnesota.

Tony Finau, the 2022 3M Open champion, headlines the field after missing the cut at Royal Troon and is joined by Sam Burns, Sahith Theegala, Akshay Bhatia, Keegan Bradley and amateur sensation Luke Clanton.

With just one regular season event left on the schedule after this week — Wyndham Championship, Aug 8-11 — the pressure is on to gain as many FedEx Cup points as possible. Several players in the field are on the playoff bubble, including Keith Mitchell, Lee Hodges and Joel Dahmen.

The 3M winner will earn 500 FedEx Cup points and $1.458 million of the $8.1 million purse.

Picks to win

Akshay Bhatia waves at fans after putting the 9th during Round 3 of Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Before a missed cut at The Open, Bhatia had a great four-event stretch: T-2 (Rocket Mortgage), T-4 (Travelers), T-16 (U.S. Open) and T-22 (Memorial).

This will be Bhatia’s 3M Open debut, but his game should play nicely at TPC Twin Cities.
