Three Nebraska men’s golfers were named All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) in 2024.
Hamish Murray, who will be a senior for the Huskers in 2024-25, led Nebraska’s efforts on and off the course by posting a team-best 72.69 stroke average last season, while also producing a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in both the fall and spring semesters of 2023-24. The child, youth and family studies major from Sydney, Australia was also a two-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll recipient and claimed Nebraska’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for men’s golf a year ago.
Reed Malleck added GCAA Scholastic All-America honors for the first time in his career. The 2023-24 senior from York, Neb., was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection as a finance major at Nebraska.
Quinn Yost, a junior for the Big Red in 2024-25, also claimed the first GCAA Scholastic All-America award of his career last season. Yost put up a solid 73.38 stroke average over 21 rounds for the Huskers, while also earning Academic All-Big Ten recognition as a business administration major for the first time in 2023-24.
Murray and Yost return to lead the Huskers in 2024-25. Nebraska is set to open its season at the Gopher Invitational in Minnesota (Sept. 7-8), before playing host to the GitRDone Invitational at Firethorn in Lincoln (Sept. 23-24).
