Vanderbilt Women's Golf | In With the New

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 2024-25 Vanderbilt women’s golf team faces a flurry of fresh challenges as the Commodores compete in seven new events this season.

The Dores will begin the year in familiar fashion, taking the tee at Pebble Beach Golf Links for the annual Carmel Cup from Aug. 30-Sept. 1. With an eighth-place finish in 2022 and fourth in 2023, this fall will be Vandy’s third-straight trip to California to tee the season.

Vanderbilt returns home for the second outing of the fall where the Commodores will look to defend their title in the Mason Rudolph Championship (Sept. 20-22) at Vanderbilt Legends Club. The Dores earned the 2023 title behind a 24-under mark which ranks as the sixth-lowest 54-hole outing in program history.

The Commodores round out the fall with a pair of October tournaments. Vanderbilt travels to Chapel Hill to play in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational (Oct. 11-13) before heading to the Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, to conclude the fall season at The Ally (Oct. 21-23).

Springtime will bring another mix of new and old for Vanderbilt. The Dores open with a pair of new events, competing in the Puerto Rico Classic (Feb. 2-4) followed by a match play event against Georgia Southern at Ohoopee Match Club in Cobbtown, Georgia, on Feb. 13. Vandy then returns to the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate (March 3-5) in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, for the fourth consecutive season.

Vanderbilt closes the regular season with three new tournaments. The stretch begins with a trip to the Pacific Coast for the Yale Invitational West (March 10-11) at PGA West in La Quinta, California. Vanderbilt’s cross-country trek also features a visit to Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational (March 24-25).

The Commodores cap the season at the Tennessee Spring Challenge (April 7) in a final tune-up before postseason play.

The SEC Championships (April 14-18) return to Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. NCAA Regionals follow on May 5-7, while the 2025 NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa North Course is set for May 16-21.
