Billy Horschel is among the star studded field at East Lake Golf Club while Ricky Castillo battles to earn 2025 PGA Tour Card.
PGA Tour Golfers
Horschel notched a T-22 finish to earn his spot in the Tour Championship making his seventh appearance in the championship since 2013. The former Gator finished the tournament 4 under.
Horschel won the Tour Championship in 2014 becoming the first golfer since Tiger Woods (2007) to win the final two Playoff events en route to claiming the FedEx Cup, and the first to win the Tour Championship after starting the Playoffs outside the top 30 in the standings.
Korn Ferry Tour Golfers
Fred Biondi (T-36), Ricky Castillo (T-36), T.J. Vogel (T-68) and Yuxin Lin (Cut) competed in the Albertsons Boise Open
Castillo remained at No. 24 in the Korn Ferry Points list after a T-36 this weekend. The top-30 in the final rankings will earn a PGA Tour Card for the 2025 season.

PGA Tour Champions Golfers
Chris DiMarco (T-58) and Scott Dunlap (77th) competed in the Tour Champions Ally Challenge this weekend. Both golfers remain firmly in the top half of the Schwab Cup Points list with Dunlap at No. 27 and DiMarco at No. 51. Former Gators Brian Gay sits at No. 31 while Mark Calcavecchia is at No. 113.
What’s Next
The PGA Tour will travel to East Lake for the Tour Championship where Billy Horschel will look to cap off a career defining year.
The Korn Ferry Tour is off for the next two weeks and will pick up again with the Simmons Bank Open on Sept. 12.
The PGA Tour champions will take the week off before returning Sept. 6 for the Ascension Charity Classic.
