Golfweek’s 2024-25 women’s college golf preseason team rankings

Summer is over, the calendar has turned to September and college golf is back. That means it’s time to rank the teams heading into the season.

The chase to win the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship is on. Next spring, the championships will be held at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, the second year of a three-year contract.

Last year, Stanford captured its second national championship in three years, knocking off former Pac-12 foe UCLA 3-2 in the match-play final to win the title. With three starters back, and the best signing class in the country coming in, don’t expect the Cardinal to go anywhere when it comes to the national title conversation.

Here’s a look at Golfweek’s 2024-25 women’s college golf preseason rankings.

The defending national champions reloaded in a big way. Sure, three players ,Paula Martin Sampedro, Kelly Xu and Megha Ganne, return from the title team in the spring, but the top signing class also enters the fold, featuring Andrea Revuelta, Meja Ortengren and Nora Sundberg. The Cardinal isn’t going anywhere.

USC made the national championship match two years ago and lost against Wake Forest, but this year’s roster may be more impressive than that talented one. The Trojans’ best player may be incoming freshman Jasmine Koo, who had an incredible 2024 leading up to her college career, but don’t forget about fellow top-10 amateur Catherine Park and Augusta National Women’s Amateur runner-up Bailey Shoemaker.
