Cal Represented By 3 Alumni In Prestigious Event

BERKELEY – California men’s golf alumnus Max Homa will play for the U.S. Team in the 2024 Presidents Cup, as he was one of six golfers selected by captain Jim Furyk to round out the 12-player team on Tuesday. Homa is one of three Golden Bears to earn a spot in the event – joining automatic qualifiers Collin Morikawa (U.S.) and Byeong Hun An (International) – which will be played at The Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Canada, on Sept. 24-29.

It will be Homa’s second career Presidents Cup appearance; he was electric in his debut in 2022, posting a 4-0-0 record to help the U.S. squad retain the cup. He also represented the U.S. in the 2023 Ryder Cup. Homa recorded three top-10 finishes during the 2024 PGA Tour season, including a career-best effort in a major championship with a tie for third place at the Masters Tournament. He finished 46th in the 2024 FedEx Cup standings.
