Women’s Golf Ranked No. 13 by Golf Channel in Preseason Poll

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State’s women’s golf team is ranked No. 13 in the country in preseason polls announced by The Golf Channel on Tuesday morning.

The Spartans are among five Big Ten ranked among the preseason top-25 by The Golf Channel, joined by USC (3), UCLA (4), Oregon (8) and Northwestern (10).

This is the highest MSU has been ranked in the network’s preseason rankings since appearing at No. 16 prior to the 2019-20 season.

Senior Katie Lu, an All-Big Ten First Team selection last year, was tabbed as a preseason honorable mention All-American.

The Spartans finished in a tie for 17th place at the NCAA Championship last year and were No. 29 in the final Golf Channel rankings.

Michigan State opens the season playing in the inaugural women’s portion of the Folds of Honor Collegiate (Sept. 9-11) at the famed American Dunes Golf Course in Grand Haven.
