Six ACC Standouts Named to 2024-25 Haskins Award Fall Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. (theACC.com) – Six Atlantic Coast Conference standouts were named to the 2024-25 Haskins Award Presented by Stifel Fall Watch List, announced by the award committee on Wednesday.

The list of 25 of the nation’s best players includes Florida State’s Luke Clanton, North Carolina’s David Ford, Virginia’s Ben James and Bryan Lee, SMU’s Will Sides and Georgia Tech’s Hiroshi Tai. The six players are the second-most among all conferences.

Five of the six Watch List honorees were named to the 2024 All-ACC Team last spring, headlined by Tai who became Georgia Tech’s fourth all-time national collegiate champion last spring when he earned a one-stroke victory at the 2024 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship. Tai edged fellow Watch List honorees Clanton and James by a stroke at the NCAA Championship to claim medalist honors.

The 2024-25 men’s golf season officially got underway on Sunday, September 1, and Monday, September 2, when Boston College claimed the team title at the Red Bandanna Invitational. The season continues this weekend when Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech compete at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate in Loudon, Tennessee. The 2025 ACC Men’s Golf Championship is scheduled for April 24-28 from The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
