Tournament Tidbits: Badger Invitational | Wisconsin Badgers


MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin women’s golf tees off a new season this weekend hosting the 2024 Badger Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course, running Sunday through Tuesday.

The three-day tournament is a FREE event, providing golf fans with a great opportunity to watch some of the nation’s top collegiate golfers while enjoying the great fall weather.

Here are five things to know before the Badgers tee off:

1. THE TOURNAMENT: The Badger Invitational is slated to begin Sunday, Sept. 8 and run through Tuesday, Sept. 10, with 18 holes being played on each day. Tee times on Sunday and Monday will begin at 9:00 a.m. CT off Holes 1 and 10. Tuesday will begin at 9:00 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.

2. THE FIELD: Teams competing along with Wisconsin include Augusta, Delaware, FIU, Iowa, Nebraska, Rutgers, Sam Houston, St. Thomas, South Dakota State, South Florida, UTSA and Yale.

In the lineup for Wisconsin is Carly Carter, Chloe Chan, Ava Salay, Alexia Siehl and Camille Kuznik.

Kate Brody, Vanessa Ho, Izzi Stricker and Lauren Sammon will also compete individually.

3. THE COURSE: Home of the Badgers, University Ridge is a par-72 and will be playing at 6,297 yards for the Invitational. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1991. The course, also known as “URidge”, is consistently looked at as one of the top college golf courses in the country. Most recently, University Ridge was named the No. 9 best college golf course by Golf Digest.

5. LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin finished eighth at the 2024 Big Ten Championship after shooting a 54-hole score of 882. Chloe Chan finished at par after shooting a 216 (74-69-73) to finish tied for 14th place.
