The eight-night trip included six rounds of golf at some of Ireland’s best golf courses, with visits at Jameson Links, Portmarnock Old, The Island, Royal Country Down, Royal Portrush and Portstewart.
“It was a great opportunity for our team and some of our loyal supporters to learn about such incredible places, experience different cultures, and play golf at some historic courses,” Head Coach Casey Lubahn said. “From a team standpoint, it was a chance for our young team to grow and learn together in a unique environment.”
The Spartans spent four days in Dublin, beginning on Friday, Aug.16. The team and visitors played a pair of rounds in Ireland’s capital, along with touring of the city. The visit to Dublin concluded with a match against Maynooth University on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
From Dublin, the traveling party bused to Belfast and spend four days there. The team played at Royal County Down, which is considered one of the best courses in the world and was being set up for the Irish Open.
