The most difficult golf courses on the PGA Tour for the 2024 season

2024 U.S. Open

The 2024 PGA Tour season is over, and the stats are in ranking most difficult courses played during the past eight months.

The top three on the list hosted majors. That’s probably no surprise to most but then you have to scroll down to No. 13 to see the fourth major venue.

In between those venues were, according to the stats, some of the most challenging golf courses on the schedule.

The top two most difficult courses played more than two shots over par while the top four all played more than one shot over par. There were 12 golf courses in all that had an average score of over par for the 2024 season, leaving 30 that the Tour pros averaged below par during the year.

The PGA Tour stats for most difficult golf courses for 2024 has 42 courses listed covering The Sentry through the Tour Championship.
