CHICAGO – Washington sophomore Finn Koelle has been named one to the 2024 Big Ten Men’s Golfers To Watch List, announced Thursday by the conference office.
Koelle, a native of Sulzfeld, Germany, is one of 49 student-athletes across the Big Ten’s 18 member institutions to be recognized on the watch list.
Koelle competed in all 12 tournaments during his freshman season in 2023-24, cracking the Husky lineup 11 times and posting a top-3 finish among UW golfers five times.
The sophomore posted a 72.31 scoring average as a rookie, garnering three top-10 finishes. Koelle fired 12 rounds under par, including eight rounds in the 60s.
Koelle shined brightest at the 2024 Amer Ari, recording the third-lowest 54-hole score in program-history with an 18-under par 198, finishing second overall. The performance was highlighted by a second round 64, the second lowest round among all Huskies in 2023-24.
Washington, which kicked off the 2024-25 season this past weekend as hosts of the Sahalee Players Championship, will once again play on home soil Sept. 23-24, hosting The Tindall at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Wash.
