Three Badgers recognized as Big Ten Goflers to Watch

MADISON, Wis. — Three Badgers were named to the Big Ten Women’s Golfers to Watch List, as announced by the Big Ten Conference on Thursday.

Carly Carter, Chloe Chan and Alexia Siehl were each recognized on the list for Wisconsin, which features a total of 54 student-athletes.

Earlier this week, the Badgers teed off their season hosting the Badger Invitational at University Ridge. Carly Carter finished in a tie for 17th place at 8-over par (75-75-74=224), while Alexia Siehl finished T19 (74-78-73=225) and Chloe Chan was T25 (75-76-75=226).

The 2024-25 golf season tees off this week for the expanded Big Ten, as the conference welcomed Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington on August 2. The league placed five teams in the preseason WGCA Top-25, including four in the Top-11 (No. 2 USC, No. 3 UCLA, No. 10 Oregon, No. 11 Northwestern, No. 23 Michigan State).

This spring, the Big Ten Women’s Golf Championships (April 18-20) return to Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland, while the 2025 NCAA Golf Championships will be hosted for a second consecutive year at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
