The Nebraska men’s golf team returns to action when the Huskers play host to the 2024 Git-R-Done Invitational at Firethorn Golf Club in Lincoln, Monday, Sept. 23 and Tuesday, Sept. 24.

It marks the return of the Git-R-Done Invitational for the first time since April of 2021, and will be the third version of the event at Firethorn, beginning with the inaugural tournament in April of 2019.

The Git-R-Done Invitational is made possible through the tremendous support of Dan Whitney (Larry the Cable Guy), whose famous catch phrase “Git-R-Done” has become the namesake of Nebraska’s home men’s golf tournaments.

Action in the two-day, 54-hole event begins on Monday, Sept. 23, with two rounds starting with tee times at 8 a.m. (CT). The tournament’s final round features a shotgun start on Tuesday at 9 a.m. (CT).

A total of 11 schools will compete for the team title, including Creighton, Kansas City, Louisiana, Minnesota, Omaha, Sam Houston State, South Alabama, South Dakota State, Wichita State, Xavier and the hosts from Nebraska, who are planning to put both an A and B team on the course for the five-count-four scoring format.

The teams will take on a challenging 7,068-yard, par-71 layout at Firethorn, which is a prairie-style course featuring a Pete Dye design.
