Head Coach Scott Limbaugh on the Valero Texas Collegiate
“I’m looking forward to getting back out there and seeing us compete again. College golf is all about how you improve throughout the year, and we can be a lot better in some areas than we were in our first tournament. Our guys have embraced that improvement. The challenge is to help our team continue to learn how important it is to have a consistent and calm mindset. The goal this week is to be more consistent and see if we can take a step towards being the team we want to be. I really like this group, and we have high standards that are important to all of us.”

The Commodores look to defend their team title at the Valero Texas Collegiate, as Vandy won last year’s tournament with a score of 13-under 851. Vanderbilt shot an impressive 10-under as a team on the back nine in Round 3 to overtake TCU and post a 5-stroke victory over the Horned Frogs.
