WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Wisconsin men’s golf team tees off this weekend competing at the 2024 Purdue Fall Invitational on the Kampen-Cosler Course, running Sunday through Monday.
This marks the fourth year that Purdue is hosting its invitational. Clear weather is expected for the weekend.
Here are five things to know before the Badgers tee off:
1. THE TOURNAMENT: The Purdue Fall Invitational is slated to begin Sunday, Sept. 22 and run through Monday, Sept. 23, with 18 holes being played on each day.
2. THE FIELD: Teams competing along with Wisconsin include Purdue (host), Ball State, Miami (Ohio), Southern Illinois, Toledo, Illinois State, Indiana, Iowa, Northern Illinois, VCU, Western Kentucky, Marquette, Butler and Purdue Fort Wayne.
3. THE COURSE: The tournament will be played on the Kampen-Cosler for the third year. It is a par-72 from the black tees and plays at 7,461 yards. More information on the course can be found on the course website.
Players competing individually will be playing the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course. The course is a par-71, playing 7,275 yards.
4. THE LINEUP: Spencer Turtz, Jacob Beckman, Charles Erlandson, Jason Shwartz and William Harned will be competing for the Badgers. For Turtz, Beckman, and Erlandson this will be their second tournament of the 2024 fall season. Jason Shwartz and William Harned are set to make their debut in the lineup this year. Evan Myers, McCord Grice, and Graham Moody will be competing individually.
