Hill, Simpson Inside Top 10 After Two Rounds at Valero Texas Collegiate

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee golfers Lance Simpson and Josh Hill sit inside the top 10 after two rounds at the Valero Texas Collegiate.

Simpson logged an even-par 72 in round two as Josh Hill fired a 2-under 70. The duo sits tied for 10th at 3-under overall ahead of Monday’s final round.

As a team, Tennessee is tied for seventh with Mississippi State, Georgia and SMU at 4-under overall.

Redshirt sophomore Bruce Murphy, who provided the Vols with an even-par 72 on Sunday, enters round three tied for 50th at 3-over in total.

Evan Woosley-Reed shot a 76 during Sunday’s round and is tied for 43rd at 1-over overall ahead of day three.

Freshman Jackson Herrington shot a 79 in round two and is currently tied for 75th.

Pearce Lewin, who is competing individually, is tied for 78th going into the last round.
