CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 22 Virginia women’s golf team is set to open competition this week at the Cavalier Regional Preview at the par-71, 6,320-yard Birdwood Golf Course. The 54-hole tournament will be played on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 23-24. An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start will open the tournament on Monday with an 8 a.m. tee time start scheduled for Tuesday.
Participating Teams:
The Cavaliers will welcome 11 competitors to their home course including: North Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, NC State, Illinois, Iowa, James Madison, Penn State, Georgetown, Richmond and Charlotte.
The Cavalier Line-Up:
Virginia’s lineup features Amanda Sambach, Jaclyn LaHa, Megan Propeck, Chloe Schiavone and Kennedy Swedick. Ally Black, Kiera Bartholomew, Maggie Whitehead and Rebeca Skoler will all compete as individuals.
The Cavaliers are paired with Maryland, Illinois and North Carolina. Those four teams tee off from the first through fifth holes starting at 8:30 a.m.
