Christensen, Pollo Pace Wildcats on Day One of The Tindall


Through the first 36 holes at The Tindall Tournament in Samammish, Washington, the Arizona men’s golf team is in fourth place at 12-under par after posting scores of 275 and 281 at Aldarra Golf Club. Two Wildcats are inside the top ten individually, with Tiger Christensen sitting in fifth place at 7-under par and Zach Pollo in eighth place at 6-under par.
 
Tiger Christensen opened the day with a round of 67 that included four birdies and no bogeys followed by a 68 in the afternoon. Zach Pollo sits at 6-under par with rounds of 69 and 67. He had 11 total birdies in the 36 holes on day one.
 
Filip Jakubcik is at 1-under par and tied for 23rd after closing his second round with three birdies in a row on holes 15, 16 and 17. Freshman Matej Baca, making is collegiate debut, is tied for 44th at 3-under par. In his first round, he recorded back-to-back eagles and played the back nine in 6-under par on his way to a 68. 
 
Johnny Walker had rounds of 73 and 76 and is currently tied for 60th. Griffin Rhoades is competing as an individual and is 9-over par after the first 36 holes.

The final round starts at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday with the Wildcats paired up with Utah, Pepperdine and California. Fans can follow along with live scoring at golfstat.
