Friday foursomes matches, pairings, tee times

The U.S. has led after the first session in seven of the last eight Presidents Cups and 10 of 14 overall in the event’s history.

Here in 2024, the Americans don’t just lead after Thursday four-ball session. They went 5-0 to open up a dominant lead over the International squad. It’s the third time the U.S. has led 5-0 after the first day. It’s just the fifth time in 71 sessions that a team went 5-0.

Now it’s time to look ahead to Friday’s foursomes matches.

U.S. captain Jim Furyk and Internationals captain Mike Weir joined respective their assistant captains to make their picks for Day 2.

The Presidents Cup uses a “snake draw” format with Jim Furyk making the first pick Thursday night for Friday and Mike Weir getting picks two and three, with Furyk then getting the fourth and fifth choices and so on till all five matches were filled.
