Cougars Continue Fall Schedule at Badger Invitational


PULLMAN, Wash.  – The Washington State men’s golf team continues its fall season by heading to Madison, Wisc. for the Badger Invitational, Sept. 29-Oct. 1, hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The event marks the third of five fall tournaments for the Cougars in 2024.
 
The Course and Tournament Format
The 2024 Badger Invitational will be held at the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisc. The course will play as a par-72 at 7,286 yards.
 
Teams will play 18 holes each day, beginning Sunday, Sept. 29, through Tuesday, Oct. 1. Tee times on Sunday and Monday will begin at 7:30 a.m. PT off Holes 1 and 10. Tuesday will begin at 7:30 a.m. PT with a shotgun start.

In addition to Washington State, other teams competing include host Wisconsin, Ball State, CSU Long Beach, Illinois State, Memphis, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, Southern Mississippi, Virginia Commonwealth, Western Kentucky, Winthrop and Wisconsin-Green Bay

Last Time Out
WSU last competed Sept. 16-17 at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational, finishing seventh in the 10-team field. Individually, redshirt-sophomore Ben Borgida led the team by capping the 54-hole event at 8-under, 208, tied for fifth overall.

Head Coach Dustin White begins his ninth season leading his alma mater. The 2024-25 Cougar squad, which returns four members from last season, looks to build of the 2024 campaign which saw WSU ends its season by capturing the title at the National Golf Invitational Championship, WSU’s first postseason tournament victory.
