Expert predictions for Sunday singles at 2024 Presidents Cup

The United States will enter Sunday singles, the last session of the 2024 Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal Golf Club, with a 11-7 lead over the International Team.

Patrick Cantlay fought the setting sun and buried a clutch birdie putt on the 18th hole on Saturday afternoon to boost him and partner Xander Schauffele over Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim. Team Kim has given the Internationals a massive amount of energy over the first three days of competition but will have to do it alone on Sunday.

Before the action gets underway, Golfweek’s Adam Schupak and Riley Hamel have made their picks for the closing session.

Here are picks for all Sunday singles matches at the Presidents Cup.

Adam Schupak: Schauffele said on Saturday he’s got a little dog in him and I think he’s just got a little more dog in him than Day, who is rested after the day off but won’t have enough firepower for world No. 2.

Riley Hamel: Scottie. I have to go with Scottie. He turned it on for the last 10 or so holes Saturday and he’s going to carry that over into the last session.

Adam Schupak:

Riley Hamel: I’m taking Sungjae here. He’s had some special moments already this week and I think he gets another one on Sunday with a win.

Adam Schupak: This could be over early. I like Cantlay by at least 4 and 3 as Pendrith won’t have Adam Scott to bail him out.

Riley Hamel: Patty Ice. He’s cold. He’s a killer. I’ll take Cantlay.

Adam Schupak: Si Woo is a Presidents Cup star the last two times. There will be a lot of passion in this one. Si Woo may get another…
