FORT WORTH, Texas – Vanderbilt men’s golf senior Jackson Van Paris recorded his second top-10 finish of the fall after he carded 1-under 209 through three rounds to end the 2024 Ben Hogan Collegiate in seventh place.

The senior from Pinehurst, North Carolina, recorded his best round at the Ben Hogan Collegiate on Tuesday, finishing at 3-under 67. It is the fifth under-par round for Van Paris this fall. The All-American moved up 12 spots on the player leaderboard in Round 3, finishing in seventh with a 54-hole total of 1-under 209. The senior held the second-best par-4 score in the tournament at 2-under.

Van Paris carded a season-low 3-under par for the third time this fall. The All-American also posted a top-10 finish for the seventh time in his career.

Like Van Paris, the No. 4-ranked Commodores had their best round in Fort Worth during Round 3. Vanderbilt ended at 2-over 282 Tuesday to move up four spots on the team leaderboard and conclude the 2024 Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational in sixth place. The Dores leave Colonial Country Club with a team score of 20-over 860.

“You don’t always get instant results, and there is never a straight line to success, and you have to love the climb,” said Vanderbilt men’s golf head coach Scott Limbaugh. “I am proud of our guys and how they fought today. Jackson and John gave us huge rounds when we had to have them in tough conditions. They really lifted the team up. Jackson plays with so much consistency, and I love how he owns his game. Gordon battled without his best stuff, and I think that shows a ton about his character because we all know he will get it going. We have to continue to get more guys believing and doing the right things more consistently.”

John Broderick’s strong showing in Round 3 allowed him to climb up 28 spots on the player leaderboard and finish in a tie for 25th. The Wellesley, Massachusetts, native matched his season-best 18-hole score by carding 3-under 67 on Tuesday. The junior wrapped up the tournament with a three-round total of 4-over 217 and tied for the best par-5 score at 5-under.

No. 8-ranked Oklahoma captured the team title at the 2024 Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational with a score of 10-under 830. North Carolina’s David Ford took home the tournament’s individual title with a three-round total of 9-under 201.
