University of Missouri women’s golf finished play at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational with three golfers in the top 10 and five in the top 20.
Junior Melanie Walker carded a two-over 74 to finish the tournament in second place at -3 (70-69-74). She was able to score eight birdies on the front nine throughout the tournament and finished just two shots out of the lead. This marks her first top-five finish of the season and the third of her career.
Junior Jade Zamora posted an even-par 72 to finish the tournament in seventh at -1 (70-73-72), marking her second career top-10 finish. Addie Dobson finished with an even-par 72 as well to finish in 10th at +1 (74-71-72) for her first career top-10.
As a team, the Tigers carded the best score of the day with a two-over 290 to finish in second place overall with a score of 871. Kansas claimed the team title on their home course.
Missouri finishes the fall season at the White Sands Bahamas Invite, hosted by Texas A&M, on October 18-20.
