Lady Vols in Second Ahead of Final Round at Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational


CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Tennessee women’s golf team is in second place after two rounds at the Tar Heel Invitational. 

The Lady Vols shot 2-over in round two and are three shots back of the lead ahead of round three. 

Senior Bailey Davis surged up 31 spots on the leaderboard on moving day, firing a 6-under 64. The 18-hole second round has her in third ahead of round three. 

Manassanan Chotikabhukkana currently sits inside the top 15 ahead of round three. The junior shot a 74 in the second round and sits 4-over through 36 holes. 

Freshman Kyra Van Kan fired a second-round 73 and enters Sunday’s final round inside the top 20 and is eyeing her second career top 25 finish. 

Martina Lopez-Lanchares posted a 72 on day two, which sits her at 6-over in total and tied for 27th. 

Sophomore Sophie Bierstorfer rebounded with a 73 in round two and is tied for 46th.
