Cougars Head South for Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational


PULLMAN, Wash. (Oct. 13, 2024) – The Washington State men’s golf team concludes its fall season by heading to Stockton, Calif. for the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, Oct. 14-16, hosted by the University of the Pacific. The event marks the fifth of five fall tournaments for the Cougars in 2024.
 
The Course and Tournament Format
The 2024 Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational will be held at the Stockton Country Club in Stockton. The course will play as a par-71 at 6,566 yards.
 
Teams will play 18 holes each day, beginning Monday at 7:45 a.m.

In addition to Washington State, other teams competing include host Pacific, California, California Baptist, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Nevada, Sacramento State, San Diego, UC Riverside, UC San Diego and Utah Tech.

Last Time Out
WSU last competed Oct. 7-8 at the Oregon State Invitational, finishing seventh in the 12-team field. Individually, junior Sam Renner captured his second-straight tournament title by finishing 10-under for a two-stroke victory, becoming the first men’s Cougar golfer to win back-to-back tournament titles.

Head Coach Dustin White begins his ninth season leading his alma mater. The 2024-25 Cougar squad, which returns four members from last season, looks to build of the 2024 campaign which saw WSU ends its season by capturing the title at the National Golf Invitational Championship, WSU’s first postseason tournament victory.
