Men's Golf Leading After Day One At St. Andrew Links Collegiate


ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – After day one of the St. Andrews Links Collegiate, the Arizona Men’s Golf team leads the field at 3-under par. Filip Jakubcik and Zach Pollo both shot 67 (-3) and sit in first place overall.
 
It was a great day for Jackubik and Pollo as both had chip in birdies today. Jakubcik had five birdies on his round and Pollo had four birdies and an eagle on the par 5, 12th.
 
Tiger Christensen is currently tied for third after a around of 69, where he also had an eagle on the 12th hole. Johnny Walker was the fourth Wildcat in the top ten at 1-over par and tied for seventh.
 
Griffin Rhoads is tied for 15th at 3-over par and just behind him is Matej Baca with a round of 75.
 
The Wildcats will be back at the Jubilee Course with the first tee time at 2:22 am for the conclusion of stroke play before team match play format takes over on Wednesday. Golf Channel will be starting their coverage at 6:00 am (MST) on Tuesday and Wednesday.
