Women's Golf Is In Second After Day One At The Jubilee Course


ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – With day one complete, the Women’s Golf team is currently in second place at 5-over par. at the St. Andrews Links Collegiate in Scotland. Charlotte Back is in second place after a solid round of 70.
 
Back had a very eventful score card and tallied eight birdies on the day. Maria Cabanillas played well shooting an even par 72 and is tied for third place.
 
Lilas Pinthier shot 1-over par and is the third Wildcat inside the top ten. Just outside the top ten is Carolina Melgrati in 11th place after a round of 74.
 
Julia Misemer shot 4-over par and is tied for 13th place. Nena Wongthanavimok shot a 79 and is tied for 18th place.
 
The first tee time for the second round begins at 1:10am (MST) as the Wildcats look to finish strong in the stroke play portion before moving on to match play on Wednesday. Golf Channel will begin its coverage at 6:00am (MST) on Tuesday and Wednesday.
