Fall Finale in Georgia – Stanford Cardinal

STANFORD, Calif. – No. 22 Stanford men’s golf closes out the fall slate at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate on October 18-20. Hosted by Georgia Tech, the tournament will be hosted on the Lakeside Course at The Golf Club of Georgia.

THE COURSE » The Lakeside Course at the Golf Club of Georgia is a par-72, 7,092-yard track and has been one of the most critically-acclaimed courses in the state since being built in 1991. Located in Alpharetta, Ga., has hosted PGA Tour Champions events, the annual Georgia Cup, and U.S. Open qualifiers in addition to its annual collegiate event. 

THE FIELD » The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate field includes 14 programs, eight of which are ranked in the Bushnell/Golfweek Top 25. Participating teams include No. 16 Alabama, Charlotte, Clemson, No. 23 Duke, East Tennessee State, No. 11 Georgia Tech, No. 23 Pepperdine, Southern California, No. 22 Stanford, No. 8 Tennessee, UCLA, No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 4 Virginia, and Washington.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT » The tournament will consist of 54 holes of competition, with 18 holes of competition beginning on holes 1 and 10 each day. The tournament will be played under the play five, keep four format with action beginning at 6 a.m. PT on Friday and Saturday, and 5:30 a.m. PT on Sunday. 

THE CARDINAL LINEUP » Taking the tee box for the Cardinal will be Jay Leng, Ethan Gao, Sean-Karl Dobson, Nathan Wang, and TK Chantananuwat. Kush Arora will also be competing in the event as an individual.

STANFORD AT THE GOLF CLUB OF GEORGIA COLLEGIATE » Stanford is set to make its 13th appearance at The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, finishing in the top-five of the team leaderboard five times during that span. The Cardinal won the tournament in its last appearance in 2022, shooting a 23-under 841 to defeat Georgia Tech and Pepperdine by a single stroke. Stanford has had two individual medalists in tournament history: Patrick Rodgers (2012) and Maverick McNealy (2015).

TK FINISHES TOP-20 » Returning to Colonial Country Club, Stanford turned in a seventh-place finish at the Ben Hogan Invitational with a 22-over performance for the week. Freshman TK Chantananuwat was the Cardinal’s best finisher of the tournament, finishing T-19th with a 3-over 213, including an opening round 69 for the second sub-70 scorecard of his career.
