Day Two Done – Stanford Cardinal

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Day two of The Golf Club of Georgia concluded on Saturday afternoon, as Stanford sits in 14th place at 15-over for the weekend.

Nathan Wang was the Cardinal’s top performer on the day, shaving a stroke off his opening-round effort to turn in a 72 scorecard. Wang sunk a Stanford-best five birdies in the round, but a string of bogeys tarnished his round for the second day in a row as Wang would have to settle for an even-par round.

Ethan Gao and Jay Leng both tallied second-round 74s on Saturday, with Leng sinking birdies in two of the final three holes to bounce back from a rough start to his round. Gao only put one circle on his scorecard, falling into a share of 33rd place in the individual standings alongside Wang.

TK Chantananuwat and Sean-Karl Dobson finished 5-over and 7-over, respectively, while Kush Arora fired off a second-round 74 in his individual effort.

Stanford finishes up its fall slate tomorrow morning, as the final round of The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate tees off at 5:30 a.m. PT.
