Cal Closes Out Stanford Intercollegiate



Liu Earns 2nd Straight Top-15 Individual Finish

STANFORD – The No. 22 California women’s golf team ended the Stanford Intercollegiate in 11th place on Sunday, finishing with a team score of 26-over-par 878.

Junior Adora Liu earned a top-15 individual finish for the second straight time, placing 14th overall after carding a 1-over 72 on the final day at Stanford Golf Course. At 1-under 212 overall, she finished under par for the seventh time in her last 12 tournaments.

Liu recorded four birdies once again, giving her 13 total over three rounds – tied for sixth most out of 100 golfers.

Also putting away four birdies was junior Kaylyn Noh (75-73-72 – 220). Noh and sophomore Constance Fouillet (73-71-72 – 220) matched Liu at 1-over for the day, both ending tied for 43rd place.

Cal’s final scorer was senior Jieming Yang, who carded a 7-over 78 to finish at 16-over 229.

The Bears ended the weekend with 41 birdies as a team, good for the seventh-highest total among the 19-team field. Every birdie from this weekend will help raise contribute to this year’s PlayforHer initiative – dedicated to Arizona State head coach Missy Farr-Kaye and her late sister, Heather Farr – which has already raised over $150,000.
