Florida sits 9-under and looks to defend its team title The Ally to close the fall season.
The Gators shot the best round of the day and second lowest of the tournament with an 8-under 280 to move from third place into a tie with host Mississippi State for first. UF looks to repeat as tournament champions and will tee off tomorrow at 10 a.m.
Five of the six Florida golfers competing are in the top-17 through 36-holes, led by sophomore Paula Francisco in T6. She turned in her second straight 2-under 70 this afternoon behind an eagle on the par5 (495 yards) ninth to total a two round score of 4-under 140.
Fellow second-year Inès Archer, also shot a 2-under 70 to sit T11 at 2-under 142. She teed off the day with a bogey-free 3-under front nine. The round marked her fifth career round of par or better at The Ally.
Addison Klonowski posted the lineup and second-lowest round of the day with a bogey-free 4-under 68. She improved eight strokes from her opening round to total her team-best fifth round under par this season. She is tied for 17th with Elaine Widjaja (I), at even overall.
The final Gator in the top-17 is freshman Siuue Wu as Sophie Stevens (+4) is right outside the top-25 in T33. Stevens cut four shots from her round one with an even par 72.
