DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke men’s golf team entered the top 25 in the most recent release of the national rankings from Scoreboard powered by Clippd. The Blue Devils moved up to No. 18 nationally, coming off their victory at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, where Duke used a 17-under, 271, final round en route to a 28-under, 836, total score to finish atop the leaderboard versus a strong field.
Duke also claimed the individual title at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, as Ethan Evans brought home the first medalist honors of his Duke career. The junior finished at 9-under, 207, and shot under-par in all three rounds, highlighted by a 5-under, 67, in the opening round. With the victory, Evans moved to No. 107 nationally in the individual rankings. Bryan Kim, a sophomore, leads all Blue Devils in the most recent individual rankings, at No. 63 in the country.
Duke is one of five ACC teams in the top 25, joined by North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame.
The Blue Devils return to action on Monday, Oct. 27 and Tuesday, Oct. 28, closing the fall portion of their schedule at The Clerico. The event, hosted by Oral Roberts, is hled at Oaks Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
