WILMINGTON, N.C. – Fighting Illini women’s golf ended the second round of the Landfall Tradition in 13th after carding a team total of 297 (+9) today at the Country Club of Landfall.
Yurang Li continues to pace the Illini, ending the day tied for 11th after her second round of 71 (-1). Li tallied five more birdies during the round, giving her a two-day total of 11, which is tied for fourth most among the field. The sophomore is aiming for the first top 10 finish of her career.
Brielle Mapanao and Victoria Zheng are both tied for 53rd after rounds of 76 (+4) and 75 (+3), respectively.
Lexanne Halama is tied for 75th after a second round 75 (+3) and Brielle Burns is tied for 94th after her round of 79 (+7).
Duke holds the team lead at 14-under (562) while South Carolina’s Sophia Burnett leads the field individually at 9-under (135).
The Fighting Illini will be back in action tomorrow morning, with third round action beginning with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. CT.
