Men’s Golf Heads to Tulsa to Wrap Up Fall Season


University of Missouri men’s golf is set to wrap up its fall season, competing at The Clerico in Tula, Oklahoma, starting on Monday.

TOURNAMENT INFO

The tournament begins on Monday morning with the Tigers teeing off at 7:50 a.m. on the 10th hole. The schools are set for 36 holes of competition on Monday with before wrapping up with 18 holes on Tuesday (shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.).

Oaks Country Club is hosting The Clerico, which features a par-70 course that measures 6,950 yards in length.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION

Missouri is one of eight top-100 schools competing this week in Tulsa. No. 18 Duke, No. 30 Northwestern and No. 36 Little Rock lead the field with Baylor, FGCU, Kansas City, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oral Roberts, Santa Clara, UTEP and UTSA also competing in the 13-team tournament.

LEADER IN VIRGILIO PAZ

Junior Virgilio Paz has been the team’s top golfer through three tournaments in 2024-25. After leading his team in scoring once in 19 tournaments during his first two collegiate campaigns, Paz has led the Tigers (or finished tied for the team lead) in all three of his competitions his season – the Golfweek “Put Me in Coach” Invitational, Blessings Collegiate Invitational and last week’s The Williams Cup.

Overall, Paz owns a stroke average of 72.89 so far – 0.22 ahead of the next Tiger and nearly one stroke better than last season’s average (73.65).
