WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Irish women’s golf team concluded its fall slate Sunday at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, North Carolina. The three-day tournament took place Oct. 25-27 at the Dye Course at the CC of Landfall. The University of Notre Dame squad finished in a tie for 13th overall at the annual event with a score of 894 (+30).

“The Landfall Tradition has one of the best competitive fields in college golf,” Associate Head Coach Kari Bellville said. “It is a first-class run event thanks to UNC Wilmington, the CC of Landfall staff, and the host families/sponsors. We loved returning to the tournament and competing at an extremely high level.

“Our team led the field in par’s at the completion of the tournament and once again dominated in the par-3 scoring averages. Congratulations to Bridget Wilkie on a top-15 finish in a highly ranked individual field. She felt right at home on the southern soil. We look forward to the off-season, reflecting more about our season, and getting processes in place to be better for Spring 2025.”

The Irish were led by freshman Bridget Wilkie whose even par of 72 on Friday and 71 (-1) on Saturday were the team’s top-two individual scores. Wilkie finished 13th individually in the tournament with a final score of 216 (E). Fellow freshman Maddy Bante scored 224 (+8) on the weekend for a top-50 individual finish as she placed 48th overall.

Caroline Owens and Maya Hunter tied for 63rd overall with a score of 228 (+12) while Anna Heck finished with a score of 240 (+24).

“Lastly, thank you to all the Notre Dame alumni, family, and friends that attended each day of the tournament. We may have played in North Carolina, but we had the home court advantage with everyone’s in person support. Your smiles, claps, and “Go Irish” calls were appreciated beyond measure. Love thee Notre Dame,” Bellville concluded.
