KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – The Washington women’s golf team concluded day two of the Nanea Invitational at nine-over on Tuesday, sitting in ninth at 13-over par.
The Dawgs were led by Vivian Lu and Carmen Lim who each shot one-over 73 on the day. Lim shot one-under on the front nine including a birdie on the fifth hole and 15 pars.
Mads Smith recorded an eagle on the 13th hole to go along with three birdies and nine pars and finished two-over on the day.
“Frustrating day for all involved,” said Head Coach Mary Lou Mulflur. “We started on the toughest part of the golf course today and just never got any momentum going. We are going to have to dig deep tomorrow and find a way regardless.”
Washington will tee off for the third and final round on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. on holes 11-15.
