KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – Vivian Lu led the Dawgs on the third and final round of the Nanea Invitational Wednesday as the Huskies finished eighth.
In the final action of the 2024 fall season, Washington finished eighth of 11 teams at Nanea Golf Club. Stanford finished in first at 26-under on the tournament. Arizona State wrapped in second at 17-under and Texas in third at 12-under as the only three teams of the tournament to conclude play under-par.
Washington struggled as the week went on, shooting 4-over in round one, nine-over in round two, and 13-over in today’s final round.
Vivian Lu led the Dawgs all tournament including Wednesday, when she recorded six birdies and 10 pars – including three-under on the front nine.
“We have a lot to work on this winter; most of which is about our situational awareness as well as our decision making and lack of discipline when necessary,” said Head Coach Mary Lou Mulflur. “We need to sharpen the tools we have and also develop some new ones. It’s time to get to work.”
Tournament Recap:
UW (+26, 8th of 11 teams)
The Huskies will next compete on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at the Collegiate Invitational at GCC in Guadalajara, Mexico.
