Just days ahead of winning the World Wide Technology Championship, Erik van Rooyen received news that his best friend and former University of Minnesota teammate, Jon Trasamar, had only weeks to live in his battle with Melanoma. Erik’s courageous victory was dedicated to his Trasamar’s legacy, which will continue to be honored at the University of Minnesota, as van Rooyen and his alma mater are continuing to “Do it for Trazzy”.
