CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois head coach Mike Small announced Wednesday (Nov. 13) the signing of Dujuan Snyman (doo-ZHAWN SNEYE-men) to the Fighting Illini men’s golf program. Snyman will join the Illini next fall as freshmen for the 2025-26 season.

SNYMAN’S HIGHLIGHTS: Snyman, originally from South Africa, joins the Fighting Illini as one of the top prospects in Australia. Over the last four years, he has finished in the top four of the Australian Boys’ Order of Merit, placing third in 2021, second in 2022 and fourth in both 2023 and 2024. In 37 events during that four-year run, he posted 30 top-10s, 22 top-fives, four runner-up finishes, and captured four championships at the 2022 Queensland Junior, 2022 South Australia Junior Masters, 2022 Jack Newton International Junior Classic, and the 2023 Northern Territory Classic Championship. In 2023, Snyman also secured Junior 6’s Tour wins in both stroke play and match play at Sanctuary Lakes and Newcastle and earned the Northern Territory Amateur Championship. Snyman won the 2022 Gold Coast District Golf Association (GCDGA) Champion of Champions event and was recognized as the 2022 GCDGA Junior Player of the Year.
