KemperSports announced a new partnership with the Morris County Park Commission in New Jersey to manage four public golf courses: Berkshire Valley, Flanders Valley, Pinch Brook and Sunset Valley. These courses are hailed as some of the finest in the state. KemperSports now manages 16 golf courses, sports complexes and athletic venues in New York and New Jersey.
Berkshire Valley sits on 600 acres in the Highlands region of Northern New Jersey. It first opened in 2004 and was designed by Roger Rulewich.
Flanders Valley is located in Flanders, N.J., some 40 miles west of Newark. It features two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Blue-to-White course (or “inner 18” as locals call it) and the Gold-to-Red (“outer 18”) course. The Blue-to-White is a traditional tree-lined countryside golf course while the Gold-to-Red plays along the outside of the property with more elevation changes and views of the surrounding countryside.
Pinch Brook Golf Course opened in 1983 and is an executive-length golf course created by the Rees Jones design team. The par-62, 5,000-yard layout features water on most holes, including a lake on the 7th hole shaped to look like the state of New Jersey.
Sunset Valley Golf Course is located in Pompton Plains, N.J. It was designed by Hal Purdy and opened in 1974. Sunset Valley is widely recognized as one of the best courses in the state.
“Morris County has a wonderful selection of outstanding golf courses,” said Steve Skinner, CEO of KemperSports. “We look forward to partnering with the County and community to elevate the experience at each of these clubs and continue to grow the game.”
