Patience Rhodes on ANNIKA Award Final Fall Watch List

Rhodes is in the midst of a breakout redshirt sophomore season in which she has emerged as one of the most consistent golfers in the nation. She receives this distinction as a recognition for an incredible first two months of the season. Here is more about her accomplishments.

– No. 27 in Clipp’d (National collegiate golf rankings)
– No. 43 in WAGR (International amateur golf rankings)
– No. 14 in European Amateur Rankings

– 2 Top-5 Finishes
– 3 Top-10 Finishes
– Finished in Top-12 of all four events
– 71.1 stroke average in 12 rounds 
– 69.0 adjusted scoring average (via Clipp’d)
– 3 rounds in the 60s
– 8 rounds of par or below

ANNIKA Intercollegiate – Sept. 9-11 (Lake Elmo, MN – Royal Golf Club)
– Started her season off strong at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate
– Fired a 68 (-4) in the first round of 2024
– Ended her tournament run 
– Finished in the Top-10 of a field that included nine of the GOLF Channel’s preseason Top-30 teams

Rhodes Finish: T6th
Team Finish: 4th

Mason Rudolph Championship – Sept. 20-22 (Franklin, TN)
– Delivered her second straight outstanding performance to start the season
– Her -10/206 was only three strokes off the lead as she finished tied for fifth
– Back-to-back rounds in the 60s to begin the tournament (68-67)
– Helped ASU move up three spots as a team on final day

Rhodes Finish: T5th
Team Finish: T5th

Windy City Collegiate Classic – Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 (Wilmette, IL)
– A big reason why Arizona State took home the Team Championship at loaded event
– Highest finishing Sun Devil in a field with 10 of the GOLF Channel’s preseason Top-25 teams
– Third consecutive Top-10 finish to start the season
– Finished with a 70 (-3) on the final day to move up 20 spots and into the Top-5
– All five Sun Devils finished in Top-20 for first time since since the 2017 Clover Cup

Rhodes Finish: T5th
Team Finish: 1st

Nanea Invitational – Oct. 28-30 (Kailua-Kona, HI)
– Fourth Top-12 finish in four Fall appearances
– Helped ASU finish in second place behind only No. 1 Stanford
– Fired the lowest final round of any Sun Devil (-3/70) to move up four spots

Rhodes Finish: T12th
Team Finish: 2nd

Coach’s Corner
 “Patience has had an outstanding Fall,” Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye remarked. “Her hard work has paid off. She is still only scratching the surface of what she is capable of achieving. I am also proud of the way she has stepped up as a teammate and completely bought in to the culture.”
