USC Women’s Golf Eyes Fourth-Straight Team Title

LOS ANGELES– No.3 USC women’s golf hopes to continue its success following its third consecutive win, as they take on the Alice and John Wallace Golf Classic starting Saturday, Feb. 15, through Monday, Feb. 17, at Monterey C.C. in Palm Desert, Calif. 

The Trojans are coming off three first-place team performances in their last three tournaments: the Stanford Intercollegiate, the East Lake Cup, and the Therse Hession Regional Challenge. USC also won its first tournament of the season (Leadership and Golf Invitational), which gave it four wins in five tournaments.

WHEN: The three-day event will begin Saturday, Feb. 15, at 8:30 a.m. P.T. The second round will be played Sunday, Feb. 16, at 8:30 a.m. P.T., and the tournament will conclude Monday, Feb. 16 at 8:30 a.m. P.T.

Jasmine Koo
Freshman Jasmine Koo heads into the tournament as the No. 2 individual in the Clippd Scoreboard Rankings. With five top-20 finishes, four top-10, and three wins, Koo leads the Trojans with a stroke average of 69.77. She tied for 4th in the Therse Hession Regional Challenge, finishing two-under par with 13 birdies and eight bogeys.

Catherine Park

Junior Catherine Park heads to Palm Desert as the No. 13 individual in the Clippd Scoreboard Rankings. She posted an even-par outing in her last tournament, claiming eight birdies and seven bogeys. Park tied for 8th, earning her fourth top-10 finish this season. She is second on the team with a stroke average of 70.85.

Bailey Shoemaker

Sophomore Bailey Shoemaker heads into the tournament as the No. 54 individual in the Clippd Scoreboard Rankings. She tied for 27th in her last tournament, finishing five-over-par with six birdies and 10 bogeys….
