TUSCON, Ariz. — The Wisconsin women’s golf team finished the MountainView Collegiate in fifth place out of 14 teams with one round to play.

Round 3:
The Badgers carded a 30-over team score, posting 290-307-297 over the 54 holes. The top Big Ten finisher, Wisconsin trailed only top-ranked teams, No. 30 Kansas State (4-over par), No. 18 Arizona taking (+14), No. 13 TCU (+15), and No. 34 Oklahoma (+21). Among the teams the Badgers topped was No. 47 Miami as well as conference foes Iowa and Nebraska.
An impressive four Badgers finished among the top 30, led by Vanessa Ho who tied for 11th place. Ho shot 5-over par for the three-round tournament, carding a 221 (73-74-74).
Just two strokes back, Chloe Chan tied for 19th place with a 7-over par, 223 (72-77-74).
Carter had the best final round for the Badgers, carding a 1-over par 73. This put her tied in 23rd place overall with an 8-over par 224 (73-78-73). Close behind, Izzi Stricker finished tied for 30th at 10-over par, 226 (72-78-76).
UP NEXT:
After a three-week break in play, the Badgers will return on Friday, Mar. 28, when they travel to the Chattanooga Classic in Ooltewah, Tenn.
